• La Paulée : February 22 – March 6, 2024

    La Paulée is back, and this year is it bi-coastal, with a few smaller producer-focused events in New York City and the main events in Los Angeles. The celebration will include seminars, wine dinners, and tastings featuring some of the best producers from Burgundy. Below we have listed the events where you can taste the wines and meet the producers from our Burgundian portfolio.

     

    The events will kick off in New York City on the 22nd and 23rd of February.

    • On Thursday February 22nd, Parcelle Wine Bar will hold “A Natural Approach to Burgundy” dinner where they will pair the cuisine of Chef Ron Yan with wines “that [espouse] minimal intervention, terroir transparency, and purity of fruit”. They will feature Maison Chanterêves’ 2019 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune Rouge “Paris l’Hôpital”, 2018 Ladoix Rouge“Les Briquottes” and 2018 Volnay “Les Lurets”.

     

    Following, beginning on February 27th, the events will move to Los Angeles.

    • On Thursday February 29th, Pierre and Anne Morey of Domaine Pierre Morey will join Jean-Marie Fourrier of Domaine Fourrier for a wine dinner, where they will present wines emblematic of their domaines to be paired with the cuisine of Chef Walter Manzke at his restaurant, Bicyclette. Pierre and Anne will be pouring 2010 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières, 2008 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières, 2007 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières, 2014 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, 2005 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru and 2003 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru.

     

    • On Friday March 1st, there will be a walk-around verticals tasting held at the Maybourne Garden Terrace featuring the following wines: Maison Chanterêves 2017, 2019 and 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes, Domaine des Croix 2013, 2017 and 2018 Corton Grand Cru “La Vigne au Saint”, Domaine des Comtes Lafon 2013, 2014 and 2015 (in magnum) Meursault 1er Cru Les Bouchères, Domaine Hubert Lamy 2016 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chatenière Vieilles Vignes (in magnum), 2017 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly (in magnum) and 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien (in magnum), Domaine Pierre Morey 2013, 2014 and 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières.
    • The Grand Tasting will be held on Saturday March 2nd at the Fairmont Miramar where the following domaines will be pouring wines from the 2021 vintage (and maybe some back vintages as well): Domaine des Croix, Maison Chanterêves, Domaine Pierre Morey, Domaine Georges Noëllat, Domaine Hubert Lamy, Domaine des Comtes Lafon, and also featuring Jérôme Galeyrand who will represent Les Aligoteurs.
