- Terroir: 50% Le Feu (a red marl hillside with iron-rich clay in the commune of Marignier) and 50% La Paille (old vines planted in 1929 on a white marl hillside in the commune of Ayze).

- Vinification: Pressed for 4-7 hours, blended, settled for 24 hours, ambient yeast co-fermentation, aged for 9 months on the lees in concrete eggs, 10-20 ppm total SO2, bottled exclusively in magnums under fleur de liège cork, aged for an additional 3 years in bottle.
