    • Terroir: Mid-slope, east-facing, at the eastern outlet of the Combe de Chambolle which brings a cooling nighttime influence, loamy soil with limestone pebbles. From three plots within Les Feusselottes: a strip along a limestone fault with very shallow (~35 cm) soils and paving-stone-sized blocks (the driest and least vigorous of Jean’s parcels); a deeper, clay-rich section with few stones; and another clay-based section scattered with small limestone pebbles.
    • Viticulture: Organic (AB), planted by Jean’s father on the 3309 C rootstock.
    • Vinification: Sorted, 12 to 20-day fermentation and maceration in stainless steel, fermentation started with an ambient yeast pied de cuve, aged for 23 months in 120 and 550 L sandstone tanks, SO2 added as needed, typically before racking or bottling.
