    • Variety: Gamay
    • Vine Age: Planted in 1935 and 1972
    • Terroir: Purchased grapes from Saint-Germain-Nuelles in the southern Beaujolais, southwest-facing, clay soil with limestone and granite.
    • Viticulture: Purchased grapes, organic (not certified), 3,750 vines/ha, gobelet trained.
    • Vinification: Pressed directly with a vertical press, fermentation and aging for 8 months in used barrels, no fining, no filtration, SO2 added during vinification and before bottling (approx. 50 ppm total at bottling).

    "Fred is the vigneron who owns this plot. He used to horse plow for other growers and his own Beaujolais parcels. He lives in the Auvergne but when he's in the Beaujolais he stays in the caravan next to the vines, which inspired the cuvée’s name."
