    At a Glance

    • Varieties: Pinot Noir
    • Vine Age: Planted in the 1940s
    • Terroir: Located at the base of Volnay in an area locally known as Monpoulain, often referred to as “les petits Volnays”, opposite Auberge des Vignes. Flat terrain, southeast-facing, clay and silt soil that is water-retentive but not compact.
    • Viticulture: Purchased grapes, organically farmed for over twenty years, high trellising, average yields of 15 hl/ha.
    • Vinification: 100% whole cluster, fermentation started with an ambient yeast pied de cuve, punch-downs, pressed with a vertical press before dry, aged for 9-10 months in 400 L barrels, racked twice, minimal doses of SO2 added when needed.
