    Additional Info

In the vineyards, the rootstock is a mix of massal (60%) and clonal (40%) selection. This terroir is perfect for Pinot Noir, which explains why most of the neighboring parcels are planted with that variety. However, this is a Chardonnay, making it a rare find.

The name for this cuvée, Désirée, comes from an old cadastral (land registry) appellation which was eliminated in 1973. The domaine is legally allowed to use this name on their labels thanks to precedence: they have been labeling wine from this parcel under the name Désirée since the late 1800s.
