    • Variety: Pinot Noir
    • Vine Age: Planted in the 1960s
    • Terroir: Northern side of Nuits St Georges, beneath 1er Cru Bousselot. Gentle slope, eastern exposure.
    • Viticulture: Organic (certified), biodynamic methods (prepared and applied by Charles). Late pruning, limited plowing (3-4 per vintage maximum). Lightweight “caterpillar” tractor for plowing and spraying. Hedging as late as possible, manually with shears.
    • Vinification: 100% whole cluster, ambient yeast fermentation in stainless steel tank with no added SO2. Macerated for 10 days, 2 punch-downs total. Aged 12 months in used barrels (50%) and ceramic tank (50%). No fining, no filtration. SO2 added after malolactic fermentation.

    2020 is the first vintage for this wine. Charles has a very close relationship with this particular grower and oversees nearly all viticultural work. The methods are very much in line with the farming the Charles does for Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux.
