    • Terroir: Located at the heart of Perdrizière, deep soils of decomposed granite (gorrhe), later-ripening site, east-facing, 380 to 415 meters altitude, plantation density of 8,500 vines per ha
    • Viticulture: Organic and biodynamic (certified)
    • Vinification: 100% de-stemmed, vinified and aged in amphora, indigenous yeast fermentation, 6 months maceration, pressed manually. Aged for an additional 6 months in amphora, no added sulfur.

    Additional Info

    The Sérols began experimenting with amphorae as a way of understanding Gamay St. Romain's natural tendency toward reduction. The first version that made it to bottle was Chez Muron 2016, with Chez Blondin and Chez Coste to follow in 2017.
